- Screening mammography. Screening mammography is used to detect breast changes in women who have no signs or symptoms or new breast abnormalities. The goal is to detect cancer before clinical signs are noticeable.
- Diagnostic mammography. Diagnostic mammography is used to investigate suspicious breast changes, such as a new breast lump, breast pain, an unusual skin appearance, nipple thickening or nipple discharge. It's also used to evaluate abnormal findings on a screening mammogram. A diagnostic mammogram includes additional mammogram images.

Dexa Scan Appointments

Ultrasound Appointments
A high-precision type of X-ray that measures your bone mineral density and bone loss. also Known as Dexa Scans or Bone Density Scans .
DEXA scans are important to understand the strength of your bones. There aren't any special preparations needed, except to stop taking any calcium supplements for 24 hours before the test. Wear comfortable clothing. Depending on the body area being scanned, you may have to take off any clothes with metal fasteners, zippers, or hooks.
Schedule them every 2 years.

The coronavirus pandemic presents us with a challenge unlike anything we’ve seen in our lifetimes. As expected, Americans are responding. I am encouraged by data that show our efforts to stop its spread are making a difference.
In order to keep the infection rate down, it’s important that we continue to stay home, practice social distancing, wash hands regularly, and wear a mask if you must leave your home.
At Florida Diagnostic Imaging , we follow CDC guidelines and regularly look for ways to keep our patients and staff safe. Effective Monday, April 20, we are requiring that all patients and visitors entering our offices cover their nose and mouth. You can do this with a scarf, a homemade cloth mask, or your own surgical mask.
Masks have been shown to decrease the spread of coronavirus from infected people, even those who do not have symptoms. Because of this, if your nose and mouth are not covered, you will not be allowed to enter our offices.

Wonderful, caring and well trained personnel. I get my annual mammograms here- and a few X-rays over the years. Clean, efficient and friendly. They take great precautions in this age of COVID. I recommend them highly.

I had my very first mammogram done here and I was very, very nervous! However, Toni who did my mammogram was so nice and comforting and before i knew it, my mammogram was completed. She did such a great job and because of her I will come here again for my mammogram when needed and wont be nervous at all. Anyone who is nervous to have a mammogram, come here and you will leave feeling just like I did! Also the front office staff was very nice as well. A big thank you to everyone here!

They were so nice over the phone. When me and my husband arrived the front desk ladies were so nice and welcoming. The place is clean and organized. When the ultra sound tech called us back she was so nice and let my husband come back with me. Give this place a chance I had a great experience and will continue to use them throughout my pregnancy.

As an employee , I have read some Google reviews and when I see negative comments I get upset because I know the real story! {Always remember, there are always two sides to each story}
In addition to being an employee, I have also been a patient at Florida Diagnostic Imaging for many years and have always enjoyed the experience ! The staff is kind and knowledgeable ! The reports get to my doctor by the next business day . Over the years, I have personally know multiple people who's lives have been saved just by getting their mammogram's done! Florida Diagnostic Imaging in Palm Bay was able to set a prompt course of action that has literally saved women & mens lives.
So yes, I am biased because I work there and because I am married to the really cute X-ray guy Bruce but I feel compelled to let people know that there is a community minded place that our neighbors can go to be taken care of ! With fair affordable prices and payment plans for deductible amounts :)
